Everyone poured into the middle of the arena and started exchanging fire. I had my mortar car sandbag a little and hold back by going around. In the middle the heavy truck and my buggy shot up one of the rocket trucks which then decided to go melee with my buggy.
And hilarity ensued.
Realizing he had to keep more distance than he was allowing for, Zappa romped the throttle again, but this time the dice goblins weren’t with him. Zappa wound up going full throttle out of control and flipping into the fence just in time for those molotovs to make a hot mess of what was left of the car and crew.
Spray and Prey wasn’t having any of that, and shot up ShyGuy with a minigun, and turned around to pursue and do it again.
…but then everyone else came clanging though the gate right after, like a loud frantic herd of ducks all chasing the same scrap of bread. And the phase or two that unfolded just after Gate-1 was a series of calamitous disasters for nearly everyone.
The truces are short lived, as weapons light up again the moment vehicles start crossing Gate-2. Preferred targets have been established now though, and the tight double back at Gate-2 makes combat tricky for a round or two.
Weapons started firing, smash attacks started happening, a few wipeouts transpired as folks learned to manage their hazard tokens, and general disarray ensued!
